Meet Conservative Bill Ketron
Bill Ketron was born in Kingsport, TN, and grew up in Rutherford County. He attended Mitchel Neilson and Central High School before graduating from MTSU. He is a small-businessman and knows first-hand the opportunities and challenges facing workers and job creators.
In 1990, he became a Rutherford County Commissioner – beginning a career of conservative service. During his eight years on the county commission, he learned how to work to solve problems in our community.
Later, Bill was elected to serve in the State Senate where he worked tirelessly to make our community better. Through his time in the legislature, Bill gained the experience needed to lead our county through tremendous growth and changes. He understands how to work locally and across the region to get things done for the people of Rutherford County.
Ketron was elected as our conservative County Mayor in 2018. His time in office has seen unprecedented gains of good-paying jobs, better schools for our children, and low taxes for our families and businesses. Every single day, he has been putting our shared values into action.
Bill married his wife, Theresa, 35 years ago, and the couple raised their daughter, Kelsey, in Rutherford County. Bill and Theresa attend First United Methodist Church in Murfreesboro and continue to be involved in the community.
